About the Role:
MPK is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team based in the Surat Basin, QLD on a 19:9 roster. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with Australian electrical standards and site-specific safety regulations. Working in a remote project environment, you will play a crucial role in supporting operations and project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure in accordance with project specifications
- Perform electrical wiring, terminations, and testing, assisting with commissioning activities for gas wellsite infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and site-specific safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with other trades and project teams to meet deadlines and operational targets
- Complete all necessary documentation, including job reports, maintenance records, and safety permits
- Participate in site safety meetings, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
Qualifications and Experience:
- QLD Electrical Licence (current and valid)
- Construction White Card
- CPR/LVR Certificate (current)
- Certificate IV in Hazardous areas - Electrical (not essential but preferable)
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation (not essential but preferable)
- Experience working in gas gathering, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS electrical standards
- Ability to work in remote locations on FIFO/DIDO rosters
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
