Job Description

About the Role:

MPK is seeking Site Engineer to support one of our projects in the Surat Basin on a 19:9 roster. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Interpret plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Assist with project procurement processes
  • Check technical designs and drawings to ensure there are no buildability issues to be resolved.
  • Prepare work packs, site reports and complete MDR documentation as required.
  • Assist the Project Engineer to develop documents such as excavation plans and test plans as required to progress construction works
  • Knowledge and adherence to required and relevant legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost, and safety.
  • Establish and implement systems to ensure construction work complies with engineering drawings.
  • Maintain and foster relationships and contacts and liaise with the client and site teams in respect of technical issues, specifications, and variation.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience & knowledge/skills:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the construction, oil and gas or civil industry preferred
  • High level oral and written communication skills and numeracy skills.
  • Sound administration skills with the ability to use computers to assist with work including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Ability to provide technical advice based on interpretation of drawings and specifications and solve onsite queries as they occur.
  • Ability to monitor and interpret technical designs and drawings and ensuring they are applied correctly in the field.
  • Demonstrated experience to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Construction management skills.
