About the Role:
MPK are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team working in the Surat Basin. This position will be Monday to Friday, based in both Support Office and on site. Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for assisting with the effective management of the commercial, quantitative and administrative activities of the project. Specifically, responsibilities will include:
- Assist in post tender bid evaluations, and with procurement including input into supply and subcontract agreements.
- Preparation of subcontract tender documentation, budgets, bills of quantities and other commercial documentation.
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
- Measure and value work completed on site and completed required reports.
- Assisting the Commercial Manager in completing bid analysis for procurement packages.
- Working closely with the Project Engineers on cost forecasting and budget management.
- Ensuring cost performance for applicable activities is in accordance with MPK requirements.
- Assist with monthly progress claims for work completed by subcontracts / suppliers.
- Assist in the collation of information to produce progress certificates for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in monthly cost reporting and forecasting against budget.
- Assist with weekly/monthly contract progress reports.
- Assist with the preparation of variation claims when they arise.
About You:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
- 2+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in relevant industry
- Proficient with cost control software
- Excellent analytical, communication and reporting skills
- Willingness for site work
